The Red Sox posted a 4-2 victory on Saturday as slight +105 underdogs (+105) while the Under (7.5) cashed in. Boston has three wins in its last four outings and three wins in a row on the road. The Under is 6-3 in their previous 9 games.

The Pirates have dropped five straight and the offense has dried up dramatically. Pittsburgh has only scored 8 total runs during the skid – that’s 1.6 runs per game (RPG). However, the pitching has scored four or more runs per game and the Over is 4-2 in the past six games. Pittsburgh has dropped each of its last three home games.

Red Sox at Pirates picks and predictions

Pirates 6, Red Sox 3

The PIRATES (-140) are a solid play in Sunday’s series finale as the Bucs look to salvage something in the three-game set after dropping the first two games.

Perez has been solid and the Bucs are 2-2 in his first four starts this season. The Bucs should be able to land Winckowski, who fills an opener role for the BoSox (+115).

Run line/Against the spread

The PIRATES -1.5 (+145) are worth a look at the run line. Although Pittsburgh hasn’t won since April 14 and has lost five straight, the Bucs’ past three wins since April 8 have been by three or more runs.

The Red Sox have reached the run line as underdogs in four straight games and have won outright in three of those games.

MORE THAN 8.5 (-115) is the lean, but go with a playing with half units only.

The Under has cashed in six of the past nine games for the Red Sox, but starting an opener before turning it over to the bullpen is a bit concerning for Boston.

The Over has cashed in 4 of the past 6 games for the Pirates, and the Over is also 3-1 in the first 4 starts for Perez.
