Arsenal revives title hopes with sharp 2-0 win over Wolves •

Arsenal secured an important 2-0 win over Wolves at Molineux to move them back to the top of the Premier League. Leandro Trossard’s spectacular goal just before half-time and Martin Odegaard’s stoppage-time finish sealed the victory, reviving the Gunners’ title hopes.

After a nail-biting week that saw them hand control of the title race to Manchester City, Arsenal knew they had to find a response at Molineux. That’s exactly what they did, thanks to Trossard’s limited effort and Odegaard’s angled finish.

Goalkeeper David Raya made a brilliant save in the first half to push Joao Gomes’ shot onto the post. The defense, including Ben White, William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes, performed solidly, with Saliba once again impressing. Jakub Kiwior struggled initially, but improved as the game progressed.

Midfielder Declan Rice made the difference, brought drive into the game and took the game by the scruff of the neck. He played a crucial role in Odegaard’s goal, and his presence had a big impact. Martin Odegaard worked hard and finished the match with a nice goal, while Kai Havertz played his part in the victory despite feeling uncomfortable in his deeper role in midfield.

In attack, Bukayo Saka faced tight marking and physical challenges, looking a threat when finding space. Gabriel Jesus lacked confidence in front of goal but played a crucial role in setting up Trossard’s attack. Leandro Trossard made up for a missed opportunity with his spectacular goal.

Substitute Gabriel Martinelli had a late chance saved, while Thomas Partey came on for the final 10 minutes. Manager Mikel Arteta will be happy with the result, despite it not being his side’s best performance.

The win moves Arsenal one point above Manchester City, having played a match more than the champions. The Gunners face Chelsea on April 23 as they look to maintain their title bid.
