Gurugram: 11-year-old girl under 5 killed after crematorium wall collapsed | Video

An 11-year-old girl was among five people buried alive on Saturday after a wall of a cremation ground collapsed on them in the Arjun Nagar area of ​​Haryana’s Gurugram. Two people were injured in the incident, which took place around 6:20 p.m., police said.

CCTV footage of the incident showed the exact moment the wall collapsed, trapping several people under the rubble. In the video, several residents of Arjun Nagar Colony, whose houses are behind the cremation ground, were seen sitting on chairs in front of the boundary wall when it suddenly collapsed.

As many as six people, including two underage girls, were buried under the rubble of the six by fifteen meter high wall. People standing nearby came to help and alerted the police.

According to police, the caretaker and members of the management committee of the Madanpuri cremation ground are on the run. A case of death due to negligence has been filed in this case.

The injured were rushed to a hospital where four of them – Devi Dayal (70), Krishan (52), Manoj Gaba (41) and the minor girl – were declared brought dead, police said.
