What’s the story

The K-pop sensation, ATEEZ, has officially announced their comeback!

This follows the group’s historic performance at Coachella earlier this month, where they became the first K-pop boy band to perform at the prestigious US music festival.

The band is about to release their tenth mini album GOLDEN HOUR: Part 1 on May 31 at 1:00 PM (KST), marking their comeback after around five months.

Why is this story important?

Founded under KQ Entertainment, ATEEZ consists of eight members: Hongjoong, Seonghwa, Yunho, Yeosang, San, Mingi, Wooyoung and Jongho.

They debuted in 2018 with the EP (extended play) Treasure EP.1: Everything to Zero.

By December 2023, the group had released 10 EPs, two studio albums and one single album in Korean, along with two single albums, three EPs and two studio albums in Japanese.

Their last release was The World EP.Fin: Will in December.

ATEEZ sparked excitement among fans by revealing the schedule for their upcoming mini-album on social media on Saturday (KST).

According to the schedule, Atiny (ATEEZ fandom) can anticipate the debut of the first concept photo on Monday.

Subsequent promotional events included the release of the title poster on May 12, followed by the tracklist poster on May 14.

A preview is scheduled for May 24 and the album will be released on May 31.

Their Coachella performance won millions of hearts

Featuring a lively 10-song setlist, including fan favorites such as ARRIBA And BOUNCY (K-HOT CHILLI PEPPERS), accompanied by captivating choreographies, ATEEZ reminisced on April 12 about their journey from humble origins to the illustrious Coachella stage.

Their electrifying performance led them back to Coachella’s Sahara stage for an encore on Friday, where their bold style and captivating stage presence once again stole the spotlight.

Often hailed as “Global Performance Idols” by the Korean media, ATEEZ has amassed a staggering record of over 4 million physical album sales worldwide.

Their numerous accolades include the Worldwide Fans’ Choice Awards at the 2019, 2020 and 2023 Mnet Asian Music Awards, as well as bonsang awards (grand prize) at the 4th Fact Music Awards and the 30th and 31st Seoul Music Awards.

In addition, the group has been appointed as the official global ambassador for Korean culture and tourism.
